Ingredients:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 tablespoons butter for brushing
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until the mixture becomes foamy.
- In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture, egg, and melted butter.
- Mix until a dough forms, then knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and allow it to rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
